Ingredients

Watermelon Base

  • 1 seedless watermelon

Cream Cheese Glaze

  • 4 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • ½ cup Greek yogurt
  • ¼ cup powdered sugar
  • 2 tablespoons fresh squeezed orange juice

Toppings

  • 2 cups sliced strawberries
  • Diced peaches (optional)
  • Blueberries (optional)
  • Raspberries (optional)
  • Kiwi (optional)
  • Halved cherries (optional)
  • Mint leaves or edible flowers (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Make Glaze: In a medium bowl, beat the softened cream cheese until smooth and creamy. Add the Greek yogurt and fresh squeezed orange juice and beat together until the mixture is thoroughly smooth. Stir in the powdered sugar and mix until fully combined and smooth. Cover the glaze and chill in the refrigerator while preparing the watermelon and fruit.
  2. Slice Watermelon: Slice the seedless watermelon into rounds about 2 to 3 inches thick. Then, cut each slice into wedges suitable for serving individual portions.
  3. Add Glaze: Spread about two tablespoons of the chilled cream cheese glaze on each watermelon wedge, being careful to keep the glaze from running off the edges.
  4. Add Fruit Toppings: Top each glazed watermelon slice with an assortment of fresh fruits such as sliced strawberries, diced peaches, blueberries, raspberries, kiwi, and halved cherries according to your preference.
  5. Garnish and Serve: Garnish the fruit-topped watermelon slices with fresh mint leaves or edible flowers if desired. Serve immediately to enjoy the fresh, vibrant flavors.
  6. Storage: Any unused cream cheese glaze can be stored in the refrigerator and later served as a fruit dip.

Notes

  • Choose ripe and fresh fruits for the best flavor and vibrant colors.
  • Prepare the cream cheese glaze ahead of time and keep it chilled until use.
  • This recipe is best served fresh to preserve the texture of the watermelon and fruits.
  • Feel free to customize the fruit toppings based on seasonal availability or personal preference.
  • The watermelon can be sliced thicker or thinner depending on desired serving size.
  • Unused glaze can be refrigerated for up to 3 days.
