Ingredients

Spread

  • 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 1/4 cup cranberry sauce

Fillings

  • 8 (10-inch) flour tortillas
  • 1/2 head romaine or green leaf lettuce, torn into 4-inch pieces
  • 16 slices deli turkey
  • 16 slices Havarti or Swiss cheese, halved
  • 2 medium tomatoes, halved and sliced

Instructions

  1. Prepare the cranberry cream cheese spread: In a small bowl, mix the softened cream cheese with cranberry sauce until you achieve a smooth, uniform blend.
  2. Layer the tortilla: Lay one tortilla flat on a cutting board and spread a thick, even layer of the cranberry cream cheese all the way to the edges. Then place 3 leaves of lettuce along the middle of the tortilla.
  3. Add the fillings: Layer two slices of deli turkey on top of the lettuce, followed by 4 pieces of halved Havarti or Swiss cheese, and finish with several slices of fresh tomato.
  4. Roll up tightly: Starting from one end, carefully roll the tortilla tightly towards the filling, making sure the roll is firm and the cream cheese acts as a binder to hold everything together.
  5. Wrap and chill: Repeat the process with all remaining tortillas until all are assembled. Wrap each rollup individually in plastic wrap to keep them fresh.
  6. Serve: Refrigerate the wrapped rollups until serving time. Before serving, trim off any unfilled ends and slice each roll into 8 equal bite-sized pieces.

Notes

  • For a gluten-free option, substitute flour tortillas with gluten-free wraps.
  • Can be prepared a few hours ahead and stored wrapped in the refrigerator.
  • Use Havarti cheese for a milder flavor or Swiss cheese for a classic taste.
  • Adjust the amount of cranberry sauce in the cream cheese spread to suit your preferred sweetness.
  • Serve chilled for best texture and flavor combination.
