Ingredients

Liquids

  • 1 oz brandy
  • 2 oz orange liqueur (Grand Marnier recommended)
  • 1, 750 ml bottle of rosé wine
  • Optional: sparkling water to top

Fruits & Sweeteners

  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 oranges, rinsed, sliced, and seeds removed
  • 1 container raspberries (6 oz), rinsed
  • 1/2 container strawberries (8 oz), rinsed and sliced

Instructions

  1. Combine alcohol and sugar: In a large pitcher, stir together the brandy, orange liqueur, and granulated sugar until the sugar has completely dissolved, ensuring a smooth base for your sangria.
  2. Add wine and fruit: Pour in the rosé wine, then add the sliced oranges, raspberries, and sliced strawberries to the pitcher, mixing gently to combine all ingredients.
  3. Refrigerate to marinate: Cover the pitcher and refrigerate for at least a few hours, preferably about 1 hour or more, to allow the fruit to infuse the sangria with its flavors.
  4. Serve: When ready to serve, fill glasses with ice, pour the sangria over the ice, and optionally top each glass with a splash of sparkling water for a light, fizzy finish.

Notes

  • For best flavor, let the sangria marinate for several hours to allow the fruit to release its juices.
  • Sparking water is optional but adds a refreshing fizz to the sangria.
  • You can adjust the sweetness by increasing or decreasing the amount of sugar.
  • Make sure to rinse fruits thoroughly to keep the sangria clean and fresh tasting.
  • This recipe serves 6, so adjust quantities for smaller or larger gatherings.
