Ingredients

Liquids

  • 1 2/3 cups Irish whiskey (Jameson recommended)
  • 1 cup half-and-half or heavy cream (half-and-half preferred)

Dairy & Sweeteners

  • one 14-ounce can sweetened condensed milk

Flavorings

  • 2 tablespoons chocolate syrup (Hershey’s recommended)
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon instant coffee granules or instant espresso

Instructions

  1. Combine Ingredients: Add the Irish whiskey, sweetened condensed milk, half-and-half (or heavy cream), chocolate syrup, vanilla extract, and instant coffee granules into the blender canister.
  2. Blend: Blend all ingredients on high speed for 30 to 60 seconds until the mixture is completely smooth and well combined.
  3. Store: Transfer the blended mixture into a glass bottle or airtight container with a tight-fitting lid. Place it in the refrigerator for storage; it will keep well up to 2 months due to the preservative effects of alcohol.
  4. Shake Before Use: Always shake the bottle well before pouring to ensure the ingredients are fully combined and to maintain smooth consistency.

Notes

  • Make sure to use instant coffee granules or instant espresso so it dissolves completely in the mixture.
  • Use a good-quality Irish whiskey like Jameson for authentic flavor.
  • The alcohol content helps preserve the cream, but always use your senses to check freshness before consumption.
  • This homemade Baileys can be enjoyed on its own, over ice, or added to coffee and desserts.
  • Store in the refrigerator and consume within 1 to 2 months for best quality.
