Ingredients

Passion Fruit Vinaigrette Ingredients

  • 1 cup passion fruit pulp (fresh or thawed from frozen)
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 2-3 tablespoons white wine vinegar
  • ½ cup extra-virgin olive oil
  • Salt, to taste
  • Freshly ground white pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. Combine Ingredients: Place the passion fruit pulp, honey, and white wine vinegar into a blender or food processor.
  2. Blend Until Emulsified: Slowly add the extra-virgin olive oil through the blender lid and blend on medium speed until the vinaigrette is smooth and fully emulsified. Stop and taste the dressing.
  3. Season to Taste: Adjust the seasoning by adding salt and freshly ground white pepper to your preference. Blend briefly again to incorporate seasonings.
  4. Store or Use Immediately: Use the vinaigrette right away for the freshest flavor, or pour it into a lidded mason jar and refrigerate. It will keep for up to 1 week. Shake well before each use as separation may occur.

Notes

  • Passion fruit pulp can be fresh or purchased frozen; thaw if using frozen.
  • Adjust the amount of white wine vinegar based on your desired tartness.
  • Use white pepper for a milder pepper flavor and cleaner appearance in the vinaigrette.
  • Shake well before serving if refrigerated because the oil and vinegar tend to separate.
  • Try this vinaigrette with mixed greens, grilled chicken, seafood salads, or roasted vegetables for a tropical flavor enhancement.
