Ingredients

2 cups whole milk (or plant-based milk for vegan version)

2 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder

¼ cup granulated sugar

4 Oreo cookies, crushed

Instructions

  1. In a medium saucepan, combine milk, cocoa powder, and sugar. Stir well to mix.
  2. Heat the mixture over medium heat until it comes to a boil, stirring frequently to avoid burning.
  3. Add the crushed Oreo cookies and continue stirring until the cookies are dissolved and the hot chocolate becomes smooth and creamy.
  4. Taste and adjust sweetness if needed. Pour into two serving mugs.
  5. Top with whipped cream and sprinkle with additional crushed Oreos if desired. Serve hot.

Notes

  • Use full-fat milk for a creamier texture or plant-based milk for a vegan version.
  • Oreo also makes gluten-free cookies for a gluten-free option.
  • Top with marshmallows, whipped cream, or chocolate shavings for extra indulgence.
  • Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for 3–4 days. Reheat before serving.
