Ingredients

Base Ingredients

  • 4 cups pineapple juice
  • 2 cups coconut water (no added sugar)
  • 1/2 cup cream of coconut
  • 1/2 cup lime juice (or more to taste)
  • 1/2 cup non-alcoholic rum (completely optional – tastes great without!)

Optional Garnishes

  • Coconut rim
  • Lime wheels
  • Pineapple fronds
  • Cherries

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Glass Rim (Optional): Place some shredded coconut on a shallow plate. Take a wedge of lime and run it along the rim of each glass where you’d like to apply the coconut. Press the moistened rim into the shredded coconut and shake off any excess to create a coconut rim for added flavor and presentation.
  2. Mix the Drink: In a large pitcher, combine the pineapple juice, coconut water, cream of coconut, and lime juice. Stir thoroughly until all ingredients are well blended. Taste the mixture and adjust by adding more lime juice if you prefer a tangier flavor.
  3. Serve: Pour the punch over ice-filled glasses. Garnish with your choice of lime wheels, pineapple fronds, or cherries for an attractive and tropical presentation. Enjoy immediately for the freshest taste.

Notes

  • If you prefer a sweeter punch, you can add a little bit of simple syrup or agave syrup.
  • The non-alcoholic rum is optional and enhances the traditional Piña Colada flavor, but the punch is delicious without it.
  • For a thicker and creamier texture, chill the cream of coconut before mixing.
  • Use fresh lime juice for the best flavor; bottled lime juice might alter the taste slightly.
  • This recipe serves 6 and can easily be doubled for larger gatherings.
