Ingredients
For the Cocktail
12 ounces light Mexican beer (Corona, Sol, Tecate, or Modelo)
12 ounces Clamato juice (or tomato juice)
1/4 cup freshly squeezed lime juice (rinds reserved)
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
1 tablespoon soy sauce (or Maggi sauce)
2 teaspoons hot sauce
Ice (as needed)
For the Glass Rim
1 teaspoon chili powder or Tajin seasoning
Salt (for rimming the glasses)
Garnish
Lime wedges (optional)
Instructions
Prepare Rim Seasoning: Place enough salt and Tajin seasoning or chili powder in a wide, shallow dish to cover the bottom. This mixture will be used to rim the glasses.
Rim Glasses: Rub the rims of two glasses with lime wedges or the reserved lime rinds. Dip the rims into the prepared spicy salt mixture so they are evenly coated. Fill the glasses with ice and set aside.
Mix Cocktail: In each glass, divide the Worcestershire sauce, soy sauce, hot sauce, freshly squeezed lime juice, Mexican beer, and Clamato juice. Stir gently to mix the flavors without losing carbonation.
Garnish and Serve: Garnish each glass with a lime wedge if desired. Serve immediately while cold and refreshing.
Notes
You can substitute tomato juice for Clamato juice if unavailable.
Adjust the amount of hot sauce to control the spiciness of the drink.
Tajin seasoning adds a unique tangy and spicy flavor; substitute with chili powder and salt if preferred.
Use freshly squeezed lime juice for best flavor.
Keep the beer chilled before preparation to maintain a refreshing temperature.
