Ingredients

Main Ingredients

  • 1 lb peaches (peeled and sliced, fresh or defrosted frozen)
  • 1/3 cup orange juice
  • 2 tbsp + 1 tsp gelatin powder
  • 2 tbsp honey

Optional

  • Granulated sweetener (for coating, such as granulated sugar or an alternative sweetener)

Instructions

  1. Blend the Peaches and Juice: Add the peeled and sliced peaches along with the orange juice to a blender or food processor. Blend until completely liquid to create a smooth peach juice mixture.
  2. Strain the Juice: Pour the blended mixture through a fine mesh strainer set over a medium pot. Use a silicone spatula to press down the pulp to extract as much juice as possible. You should end up with about 1 1/4 cups of clear peach juice.
  3. Combine Honey and Gelatin: Pour the strained juice into the pot and stir in the honey until fully combined. Sprinkle the gelatin evenly over the peach mixture and gently mix. Let the mixture sit for 2 minutes to allow the gelatin to bloom (absorb liquid).
  4. Heat the Mixture: Place the pot on the stove over low heat. Warm gently for 3-4 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the gelatin and honey are completely dissolved and the mixture is fully liquid. Do not boil.
  5. Fill the Molds: Using a dropper, carefully transfer the warm, liquid gummy mixture into your prepared silicone molds shaped like rings or any preferred shape. Alternatively, pour the mixture into a large glass container if molds are unavailable.
  6. Refrigerate to Set: Place the filled molds or container in the refrigerator for 4-6 hours, or until the gummies have fully set and are firm to the touch.
  7. Remove and Coat Gummies: Gently remove the set gummies from the molds. If desired, toss them lightly in granulated sweetener to prevent sticking and add a slight crunch.
  8. Store Properly: Store the gummies in an airtight container in the refrigerator to keep them fresh and maintain their texture.

Notes

  • For best results, use ripe peaches for natural sweetness and flavor; frozen defrosted peaches work well too.
  • If you want your gummies firmer, slightly increase the gelatin amount (up to 3 tbsp total).
  • Make sure not to boil the gelatin mixture as it can affect the setting properties.
  • The optional granulated sweetener coating improves texture and prevents gummies from sticking together.
  • Use silicone molds for easy removal and fun shapes, but any clean glass or plastic container can be used.
  • These gummies are best enjoyed within one week and always stored refrigerated.
