Ingredients

2 garlic cloves, minced

1 lemon, juiced

1/3 cup extra virgin olive oil

Kosher salt, to taste

Black pepper, to taste

1 jalapeño or ancho chili pepper, seeded and thinly sliced (optional)

3 large heirloom tomatoes (about 1 1/2 pounds), sliced into 1/4-inch rounds

46 tablespoons dukkah (homemade or store-bought)

1 tablespoon chopped fresh mint

Instructions

  1. In a small bowl, whisk together garlic, lemon juice, olive oil, salt, and pepper until well combined. Stir in the jalapeño or chili slices if using.
  2. Arrange sliced tomatoes on a serving platter.
  3. Drizzle the dressing over the tomatoes.
  4. Sprinkle with dukkah and top with fresh mint.
  5. Serve immediately.

Notes

  • Best enjoyed fresh, as tomatoes release juices quickly.
  • Swap mint for basil or parsley for a different flavor profile.
  • Add crumbled feta or mozzarella for extra richness.
  • Za’atar or sesame seeds with cumin can replace dukkah.
  • For a heartier dish, serve over toasted bread.
