Ingredients

For the Chicken:

2 lbs chicken tenders, thighs, or breast

2 tbsp olive oil

For the Garlic Parmesan Butter Sauce:

1 stick butter

810 cloves garlic, minced

½ cup parmesan, grated

1 tbsp hot sauce (more if desired)

2 teaspoons red pepper flakes

⅓ cup fresh parsley, minced

For the Chicken Seasonings:

2 teaspoons paprika

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon onion powder

½ teaspoon salt

½ teaspoon pepper

Instructions

  1. Soak Wooden Skewers (if using): Soak skewers in water for at least 30 minutes to prevent burning.
  2. Season the Chicken: Mix paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Coat chicken pieces with olive oil and the seasoning mixture. Skewer the chicken tightly on each skewer.
  3. Make the Garlic Parmesan Butter Sauce: Melt butter with garlic, then whisk in parmesan, hot sauce, red pepper flakes, and parsley. Reserve 1/3 of the sauce for basting during cooking and the rest for after cooking.
  4. Cook the Chicken:
    • Air Fryer: Preheat to 400°F (200°C). Cook 2-3 skewers for 5 minutes, flip, baste, and cook for an additional 7-9 minutes until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
    • Oven: Preheat to 450°F (232°C). Bake for 14 minutes, flipping halfway and basting. Broil for 2 minutes for a golden top.
    • Grill: Preheat to medium-high. Grill each side for 5-6 minutes, basting with sauce throughout.
  5. Serve: Drizzle remaining sauce over the skewers and sprinkle with additional parmesan. Serve warm and enjoy!

Notes

  • Storage: Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days. You can freeze the cooked skewers for up to 1 month.
  • Reheat: Reheat in the microwave or air fryer for best results.
  • Variations: Add vegetables to the skewers for extra flavor. Substitute chicken with shrimp or beef for a different twist.
  • Dairy-Free Option: Use dairy-free butter and nutritional yeast instead of parmesan.
