2 tablespoons chopped fresh turmeric (or 2 teaspoons ground turmeric)

3 tablespoons honey

1 tablespoon water

1/8 teaspoon cracked black pepper

Instructions

  1. Combine lemon juice, ginger, turmeric, honey, water, and pepper in a blender. Blend on high for 30–60 seconds until smooth.
  2. Strain mixture through a fine-mesh strainer into a large measuring cup, pressing solids to extract juice. Discard solids.
  3. Pour juice evenly into a silicone ice cube tray (about 9 ounces capacity).
  4. Freeze until solid, about 1 hour or longer.
  5. To serve: Boil 8 ounces of water. Place one frozen cube in a mug and pour hot water over it. Stir gently and enjoy immediately.
