Ingredients

250 grams carrots (approx. 3 medium)

3 large oranges (or 1 cup orange juice or coconut water)

1/2 inch ginger (optional)

4 to 8 ice cubes (as required)

Instructions

  1. Wash and scrub carrots thoroughly. Optionally peel and chop into 1 to 1½ inch pieces. Soak in water for 30 minutes for easier extraction.
  2. Peel ginger and oranges. Remove seeds and pith from oranges to avoid bitterness.
  3. In a blender, combine carrots, ginger, orange segments (or juice), and ice cubes. Blend until smooth.
  4. Place a fine strainer over a bowl and strain the juice. Press with a spoon or cup to extract maximum juice.
  5. Serve immediately for best taste and nutrient retention.
  6. Juicer Method: Add chopped carrots, ginger, and oranges slowly into the juicer chute. Collect and serve juice fresh.

Notes

  • Use young or baby carrots for best taste and sweetness.
  • Chill ingredients before juicing for a cold drink without diluting nutrients.
  • Customize with additions like celery, cucumber, or Asian pears.
  • Use a nut milk bag for easier straining if using a blender.
  • Consume immediately or refrigerate up to 2 days. Can be frozen for up to 3 months.
