Ingredients

For the Peach Margarita

  • 1 ripe peach (includes garnish)
  • 1 tablespoon honey or simple syrup (optional)
  • 2 ounces Blanco or Silver Tequila
  • 1 ounce Cointreau or Triple Sec
  • 1 1/2 ounces lime juice

For Garnish

  • Mint leaves
  • Extra peach slices
  • Raspberries (optional)
  • Salt, sugar, or Tajín seasoning (optional, for rimming the glass)

Instructions

  1. Prep: Wash, peel, and slice the peach to prepare it for the cocktail.
  2. Puree or Muddle the Peach: Choose one method: In a blender, combine half of the peach with honey or simple syrup (optional) and blend until smooth. Alternatively, use a muddler in a cocktail shaker to mash the peach slices into a paste, adding honey or simple syrup if desired.
  3. Make the Cocktail: Fill a cocktail shaker with ice. Add the pureed or muddled peaches, 2 ounces of Blanco or Silver Tequila, 1 ounce of Cointreau or Triple Sec, and 1 1/2 ounces of fresh lime juice. Shake vigorously until the shaker sides frost.
  4. Rim the Glass (Optional): If desired, rub a lime wedge around the rim of the glass and dip it into salt, sugar, or Tajín seasoning for a flavored rim.
  5. Serve: Fill the glass with ice. Strain the margarita mixture into the glass over the ice.
  6. Garnish: Add extra peach slices, mint leaves, and raspberries to garnish the cocktail attractively and add fresh aroma and flavor.

Notes

  • Adjust the sweetness by adding honey or simple syrup sparingly as fresh peaches can vary in sweetness.
  • If you prefer a less alcoholic drink, reduce the tequila slightly or add extra lime juice.
  • For a spicier rim, use Tajín seasoning instead of salt or sugar.
  • The recipe yields one serving but can be easily multiplied for a crowd.
