Ingredients

Base

  • 1 package pizza dough
  • 2 tbsp butter (melted)
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt

Toppings

  • 1 cup pizza sauce
  • 1 ½ cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • Toppings of choice (optional, such as pepperoni, bell peppers, olives, mushrooms)

Instructions

  1. Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 425° Fahrenheit. Prepare a baking sheet by lining it with parchment paper or lightly spraying it with cooking oil to prevent sticking.
  2. Prepare Dough Circles: On a floured surface, roll out the pizza dough and use a cookie cutter or the rim of a cup to cut the dough into approximately 12 small circles. Arrange these dough circles evenly on the prepared baking sheet.
  3. Brush with Butter Sauce (Optional): In a small bowl, melt the butter and mix in the garlic powder and salt. Brush this butter mixture lightly over the dough circles to add flavor and richness.
  4. Add Sauce and Cheese: Spread about 1 to 2 teaspoons of pizza sauce evenly on each dough circle. Then sprinkle 1 to 2 tablespoons of shredded mozzarella cheese over the sauce. Add any desired toppings on top of the cheese.
  5. Bake Mini Pizzas: Place the baking sheet in the preheated oven and bake for 10 to 12 minutes, or until the cheese is melted, bubbling, and golden brown. Remove from oven and let cool for a few minutes before serving.

Notes

  • You can customize toppings to suit dietary preferences or what you have on hand.
  • For a crispier crust, bake a few minutes longer but watch closely to prevent burning.
  • Use a pizza stone instead of a baking sheet for an even crispier bottom crust if available.
  • Brush dough with olive oil instead of butter for a dairy-free option.
  • These mini pizzas freeze well; bake from frozen by adding a few extra minutes in the oven.
