Ingredients

3 10-inch flour tortillas

2 teaspoons olive oil

4 slices mozzarella cheese

1 slice cheddar cheese

4 large black olives

1/4 cup pizza sauce (store-bought or homemade)

2 tablespoons shredded mozzarella cheese

For homemade pizza sauce:

28 ounce can whole tomatoes, drained

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 tablespoon olive oil

1 teaspoon white wine vinegar

1 teaspoon dried oregano

Salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with non-stick foil.
  2. Cut six 4.5 to 5-inch circles from the flour tortillas. Brush both sides with olive oil.
  3. Toast tortillas in a skillet over medium heat for 2–3 minutes per side until golden brown. Transfer to the baking sheet.
  4. To make homemade pizza sauce, blend drained tomatoes, garlic, olive oil, vinegar, and oregano until smooth. Season with salt and pepper.
  5. Use cookie cutters or kitchen shears to cut ghost, pumpkin, and other spooky shapes from cheese slices. Slice olives for eyes or decorations.
  6. Spread 2 teaspoons of sauce on each tortilla circle. Add shredded mozzarella to at least one.
  7. Bake for 6 minutes until the cheese melts and the sauce bubbles.
  8. Remove and top with cheese cutouts and olives. Return to oven for 1–2 minutes to melt slightly.
  9. Serve warm and enjoy your spooky creations!
