Ingredients

1 tablespoon fresh ginger, sliced

1/2 tablespoon fresh turmeric (or 1/2 teaspoon ground turmeric)

1 cinnamon stick

1/4 cup fresh mint leaves

1/3 cup pineapple chunks

1 cup water

1 Lemon Verbena tea bag (tag removed)

1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar (optional)

Lemon slice (optional)

Honey (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a medium pot, combine ginger, turmeric, mint, pineapple, water, and the tea bag.
  2. Bring to a simmer over low heat, then remove from heat and cover.
  3. Let the mixture steep for 10 minutes.
  4. Strain into a mug and add optional apple cider vinegar, lemon slice, or honey if desired.
  5. Serve hot, or chill in the fridge and serve over ice.
