Ingredients

2 cans crescent roll dough

2 tablespoons butter (melted)

2 tablespoons sugar

1 tablespoon light brown sugar

1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

23 tablespoons flour (for rolling)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a muffin tin with cooking spray.
  2. Open both cans of crescent roll dough and roll them out on a floured surface, ensuring that the perforations are no longer visible.
  3. In a small bowl, combine white sugar, brown sugar, and cinnamon.
  4. Spread a small amount of melted butter on one layer of dough. Sprinkle half of the cinnamon sugar mixture over it. Top with the second layer of dough.
  5. Slice the dough into long strips and roll each strip tightly.
  6. Dip each roll in the remaining melted butter, then coat it with the remaining cinnamon sugar mixture. Place each roll in the prepared muffin tin.
  7. Bake for approximately 20 minutes, or until golden brown and puffed up.
  8. Let the cruffins cool slightly before serving.

Notes

  • For extra sweetness, top with a simple glaze made from powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla.
  • Add chopped nuts like pecans or walnuts inside the dough for added flavor and crunch.
  • For a fruity variation, add chopped apples or berries inside the dough along with the cinnamon sugar.
  • Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container for up to 3 days. You can also freeze unbaked cruffins and bake them fresh later.
