Ingredients

Fruits and Garnishes

  • 1 orange, sliced (plus more for garnish)
  • 1 cup cranberries (plus more for garnish)
  • ½ cup pomegranate seeds
  • Fresh rosemary sprigs (for garnish)

Juices and Liquids

  • 2 cups cranberry juice (100% unsweetened, Ocean Spray recommended)
  • 2 cups orange juice (Simply, Natalie’s, or Uncle Matt’s brands recommended)
  • 1 cup pomegranate juice (POM brand recommended)
  • 2 cups lemon-lime soda (Starry, Sprite, or 7Up recommended)
  • 1 cup white rum (optional for alcoholic version)
  • Ice cubes, as needed

Instructions

  1. Prepare the fruit base: Add the slices from 1 orange, 1 cup cranberries, and ½ cup pomegranate seeds to a large pitcher or punch bowl. For larger gatherings, you can double the quantity and use a gallon-sized bowl or dispenser.
  2. Combine juices and soda: Pour in 2 cups cranberry juice, 2 cups orange juice, 1 cup pomegranate juice, and 2 cups lemon-lime soda over the fruit in the pitcher. If making an alcoholic punch, add 1 cup white rum or your preferred alcohol at this stage.
  3. Serve the punch: Fill glasses with ice and pour the punch over. Garnish each serving with fresh rosemary sprigs, extra orange slices, and cranberries. For added festivity, you can prepare Christmas-themed ice cubes with fruit inside.

Notes

  • This punch can easily be made non-alcoholic by omitting the white rum.
  • Use fresh, 100% fruit juices for the best flavor and to avoid added sugars and preservatives.
  • Prepare the punch shortly before serving to maintain the freshness and effervescence of the lemon-lime soda.
  • Christmas ice cubes with embedded cranberries or pomegranate seeds enhance presentation and add extra flavor as they melt.
  • Adjust sweetness by selecting sweetened or unsweetened fruit juices based on your taste preferences.
