Ingredients

Yogurt Base

  • 2 cups plain whole milk Greek yogurt, room temperature

Chocolate

  • 8 ounces semisweet chocolate, chopped, or 1 1/2 cups chocolate chips

Sweetener (Optional)

  • 2 tablespoons maple syrup or powdered sugar

Toppings (Optional)

  • Fruit (such as berries or sliced bananas)
  • Crushed cookies
  • Granola

Instructions

  1. Prepare the yogurt: Place the whole milk Greek yogurt in the bowl of a food processor or a large metal bowl and process or whisk vigorously until it becomes smooth and creamy, eliminating any lumps.
  2. Melt the chocolate: Gently melt the semisweet chocolate either in the microwave in short bursts or over a double boiler, stirring frequently until fully smooth and melted, taking care not to burn it.
  3. Combine chocolate and yogurt: Quickly pour the hot melted chocolate into the center of the smooth yogurt. Immediately process or whisk the mixture until fully blended and uniformly chocolatey, scraping down the sides of the bowl to incorporate all of the ingredients.
  4. Adjust sweetness: Taste the pudding and add 2 tablespoons of maple syrup or powdered sugar if you prefer it sweeter. Process or whisk again until the sweetener is completely integrated.
  5. Serve or chill: Spoon the pudding into individual parfait glasses layering with optional toppings like fresh fruit, crushed cookies, or granola as desired. Alternatively, transfer the pudding to an airtight container and chill it for at least one hour for a thicker, creamier texture. Store leftovers refrigerated in an airtight container for up to 4 days.

Notes

  • Be careful when melting chocolate to avoid overheating or burning.
  • Optional sweetener can be adjusted or omitted depending on your taste.
  • Feel free to customize toppings according to preference and dietary needs.
  • Chilling enhances pudding thickness but is not required for immediate enjoyment.
  • Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 4 days.
