Ingredients

1 tablespoon sour cream

1½ teaspoon dry ranch dressing mix

2 slices bacon, crushed

1 chicken breast, cooked and cubed

1 oz shredded extra sharp cheddar cheese

1 slice extra cheddar cheese

2 slices Dave’s Killer Bread

Butter, for spreading on the bread

Instructions

  1. In a small bowl, combine the sour cream and dry ranch dressing mix. Stir until well blended. Add the crushed bacon, cubed chicken, and shredded cheddar cheese. Mix to combine.
  2. Spread equal amounts of butter on both slices of bread.
  3. Heat a medium skillet over low heat. Place one buttered slice of bread into the warm pan, buttered side down. Layer with a slice of extra cheddar cheese and the chicken, bacon, and ranch mixture.
  4. Place the second slice of buttered bread on top, buttered side facing up. Increase the heat to medium and cook for 2–4 minutes or until the bread is golden and crispy. Flip the sandwich and cook until the second slice is slightly browned. For extra melty cheese, place a bowl on top of the sandwich for 1 minute.
  5. Once the sandwich is golden brown and the cheese is melted, remove from the skillet and serve immediately. Enjoy!

Notes

  • Use gluten-free bread to make the sandwich gluten-free.
  • Try different cheese options like mozzarella, gouda, or pepper jack for a new twist.
  • For a spicier version, add jalapeños or hot sauce to the chicken mixture.
