Ingredients

Buffalo Chicken Dip Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 pounds cooked, shredded chicken
  • 3/4 cup hot pepper sauce
  • 2 (8 ounce) blocks cream cheese
  • 1 cup Ranch dressing
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

Instructions

  1. Prepare the chicken and sauce: Add 1 1/2 pounds of cooked, shredded chicken to a large skillet or pan and pour in 3/4 cup of hot pepper sauce. Stir to combine and heat on medium until warmed through.
  2. Add cream cheese and Ranch dressing: Cut the cream cheese into chunks and add the 2 blocks along with 1 cup of Ranch dressing to the skillet. Stir continuously over medium-low heat until the cream cheese has fully melted and the mixture is smooth.
  3. Melt in cheddar cheese: Turn off the heat and immediately add 1 cup of shredded cheddar cheese. Stir until the cheddar cheese melts completely, incorporating it evenly into the dip.
  4. Serve warm: Transfer the dip to a serving dish and serve immediately with pita chips, crackers, or your favorite dippers.

Notes

  • For authentic flavor, Texas Pete Hot Sauce is recommended but you can use any hot pepper sauce of your choice.
  • Ensure cream cheese is softened or cut into small cubes for faster melting.
  • This dip is best served warm but can be reheated gently on the stovetop or microwave.
