Ingredients

Frozen Fruit

  • 2 ripe bananas
  • 2 white peaches, peeled
  • 1 cup fresh pineapple

Smoothie Base

  • 1/4 cup coconut yogurt
  • 1 tbsp maple syrup
  • 1 1/2 tsp blue spirulina powder
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

Toppings

  • 1/2 cup strawberries, chopped
  • 1/4 cup coconut shreds

Instructions

  1. Freeze the fruit: Line a small cookie sheet with parchment paper. Cut the bananas, peeled peaches, and fresh pineapple into chunks and spread them out on the cookie sheet in a single layer. Place the tray in the freezer and freeze the fruit for about 2 hours until solid.
  2. Blend the smoothie: Gather all your ingredients for quick access once the fruit is frozen. Add the frozen fruit chunks, coconut yogurt, maple syrup, vanilla extract, and blue spirulina powder to a high-speed blender. Pulse and blend the mixture until creamy, stopping occasionally to scrape down the sides to ensure an even blend.
  3. Assemble and serve: Spoon the smoothie mixture evenly into serving bowls. Top each bowl with the chopped strawberries and coconut shreds or any other desired toppings. Serve immediately and enjoy your refreshing blue smoothie bowl.

Notes

  • Make sure the fruit is frozen solid for a thick, creamy smoothie bowl texture.
  • You can substitute coconut yogurt with any dairy-free yogurt of your choice to keep it vegan.
  • Adjust the sweetness by adding more or less maple syrup based on your preference.
  • For added nutrition and crunch, consider topping with nuts or seeds.
  • If you don’t have spirulina powder, you can omit or replace it with a small amount of matcha powder for a green twist.
