Ingredients

Primary Ingredients

  • 1 ½ cup apple cider or apple juice
  • 1 ounce fresh peeled ginger root (2-3 inch knob)
  • ¼ teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • ½ teaspoon ground turmeric
  • A few grinds of freshly ground black pepper
  • 1 can non-alcoholic ginger beer or ginger ale (can also use sparkling water)

Instructions

  1. Blend Ingredients: Combine the apple cider (or juice), fresh peeled ginger root, ground cinnamon, ground turmeric, and freshly ground black pepper in a high-powered blender. Blend on high speed for about 20 seconds until the mixture is smooth and well combined.
  2. Strain the Juice: Pour the blended mixture through a fine-mesh strainer into a glass jar or measuring cup. Use a spoon to gently press and push the juice through, removing the pulp. Discard the pulp left in the strainer.
  3. Serve the Mocktail: Pour about 1/4 to 1/3 cup of the strained juice into a glass filled with ice or into a coupe glass. Top off with your choice of ginger beer, ginger ale, or sparkling water to add fizz.
  4. Garnish and Enjoy: Garnish your mocktail with a cinnamon stick or slices of fresh ginger for added aroma and aesthetic appeal. Serve immediately for the best sparkling, refreshing taste.

Notes

  • You can adjust the amount of ginger and spices according to your taste preference for more or less heat and warmth.
  • Using fresh peeled ginger root is key to the vibrant spiciness in this mocktail.
  • If you prefer less sweetness, opt for sparkling water instead of ginger beer or ginger ale.
  • This mocktail is best enjoyed fresh but can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 24 hours in an airtight container.
  • Garnishing with cinnamon sticks or fresh ginger slices enhances presentation and aroma.
